Daniel Rosehill created The Impact Database (ImpactDB) in March 2024 while searching for ways to tell the story of impact investing that didn’t involve sending journalists long PDF reports.

He currently works as the Communications Manager to Sir Ronald Cohen (often referred to as the ‘father of social finance’) and works closely with colleagues in the impact movement, both at GSG Impact and elsewhere. This website is a personal undertaking. That’s written partially to avoid implicating others in the weirdness of the sloth graphics and partially to delineate clearly that “all views are his own”.

Daniel’s circuitous journey to the impact world involved stopovers in journalism and technology communications. He likes how impact provides an overarching framework for all the interesting advances in technology that he’s seen during the evolution of his career (and is amazed by every day). The values of open source and tech as a force for good resonate with him and keep him engaged with impact.

Prior to beginning work with Sir Ronald, Daniel led the communications and marketing functions at companies both in Israel (where he lives) and Ireland (where he was born) and has worked with industries ranging from IoT to backup and recovery.

Hobbies include writing a blog about technology, running a YouTube channel, and travelling.
